OUR MISSION

Herptown is a laboratory for the captive ex-situ propagation of invertebrates, fish, & plants and the building of supplies and housing equipment from organic materials to be sold to trusted customers in the American Northeast (with priority given to educational and scientific institutions and those in the New York City Metropolitan Area). We are also a to-be licensed wildlife rehabilitation service. We originally named our project after our mission to support fractured urban populations of amphibians and reptiles living in New York City, and so half of our profits will go directly to funding projects, organizations, & societies working for their cause. We work to alleviate strains on both native & foreign wild populations of amphibians and reptiles by providing captive-bred animals and reducing the demand for poaching those in the wild.

GUARANTEE

30% of the profits will be directed toward conservation initiatives like Operation Mitsinjo and The Amphibian Foundation to foster conservation in the areas that need it most. Majority of the remainder will be reinvested in our laboratory to progress our research and optimize conditions for our animals.
